Not sure about church?

Church is boring, isn't it?

When church focuses on how much God loves us it's anything but boring. You'll find our services at South Manchester Christian Fellowship lively and full of good music; with speakers that won't send you to sleep (promise!).

We also like to have fun and enjoy each other's company, which is why we have a drink together after the service. Don't take our word for it, come along and find out for yourself.

Don't you have to be 'good' to go to church?

You may have thought or heard people say they don't feel good enough for church. They expect to be 'spotted' or 'found out' as someone who doesn't make the grade. Well we've got some great news for you.

Everyone is welcome at our church. And coming to church isn't about being 'good enough'. God's love is available to everyone - and our greatest hope is that our church will help you feel that love and come to know what God's really all about.

Can't you be a Christian and not go to church?

Being a Christian and not going to church is like being a great footballer but not playing in any team. You won't get to exercise your faith or abilities in the same way. Nor do you get to enjoy being part of a team. It's just not as rewarding or as fulfilling as it could or should be.

Being part of a church is in God's plan for a very good reason. It's only through our relationships with other people that we become all that we can be and receive the kind of love that God wants to shower on us.

Isn't the church all about money?

In a word 'no'. Offerings are one part of church. They exist so that people who are part of the church family can say 'thanks' to God for what he's done. If you're a guest at our church, you're not expected to give money.
